Players & bans#
Everything player-related lives in the admin Players section (its own permission — you can give a moderator Players without giving them server controls; bans are a separate permission on top).
Search & roster#
One search box, mode auto-detected: name (partial match), Steam ID (17 digits) or IP. The full roster enriches every known player with their last session info, Discord link and online state. Player names on the Dashboard, Live Map and Discord linked-profiles list all click through to the same profile.
The player profile#
- identity: Steam ID, IP, online state, first/last login, ban badge, Discord link (with unlink)
- the complete stat sheet — the same categories players see in My Stats and
/my-stats - skills & attributes, bank balance + cards, squad with click-through members
- admin actions 💎 (Premium + SSA Bridge): teleport to player / player to location, kick, give fame or money, rename, spawn items at the player — the same action menu as the Live Map
Player Intelligence 💎 (Premium)#
A "know your player" risk panel — enrichment plus a local verdict, not a shared banlist. Nothing about your server ever leaves it. It surfaces in four places: the profile's Intel tab (the profile opens on it), a marker + country flag next to every player name, a summary panel on the Dashboard, and a risk filter on the Players roster.
- Automatic on join. When a player connects, the manager sends only their Steam ID + IP to the premium service, which returns public enrichment: Steam VAC / game / economy / community bans (and how long ago), account age + creation date, Steam level, profile visibility, SCUM playtime, plus IP geolocation (country, city, ISP, organisation, ASN, mobile vs broadband) and a VPN / datacenter check. The Steam key lives centrally, so you configure nothing — it uses your existing subscription.
- Local risk score — scored in your manager on a 0–100 scale (🟢 Clean / 🟡 Watch / 🔴 High risk), so the verdict and your data stay yours. The Intel tab shows the score bar, every gathered field and the individual risk flags.
- Markers + country flag on every player name — in the roster, the Dashboard online list and the profile header: 🔴/🟡 for High/Watch, 👁 for watchlisted, a green ✓ for checked & clean, plus a real country flag from the IP. (The flag needs a public IP; LAN/local test players don't geolocate.)
- Dashboard panel — above the online players a Player intelligence panel shows Assessed / High / Watch / Watchlist counts; click a card to jump to the roster filtered to it. Hidden until at least one player has been assessed.
- Roster risk filter — a Risk dropdown: all / flagged (watch + high) / high / watch / on watchlist.
- Alt detection — purely local: other Steam IDs seen from the same IP in your own login history.
- Notes & watchlist — a private per-player note and a watchlist toggle (local, no premium needed); both survive re-enrichment. A Refresh button re-runs enrichment on demand and, if it can't gather anything, tells you why (e.g. the IP couldn't be geolocated) instead of showing a misleading "clean".
- Discord alert on a risky join — opt-in: set a channel and the minimum risk level under Discord → Player intelligence. You can also ask any time with
/whois <steamid>in Discord. The alert identifies the player the way your server does — in-game nick, in-game id, squad, playtime and fame next to the Steam and network details — so you can act on it without looking anything up by Steam ID first. The action taken card (warn/kick/ban) shows the same. - Optional auto-action 💎 (SSA Bridge) — from that same risk level you can have the manager automatically kick or ban a risky joiner. Pick a grace delay before it runs and, for bans, how long they last (0 = permanent; timed bans lift themselves and survive a restart). It leaves alone anyone linked to Discord or marked reviewed, and every ban lands on your ban list with a note. You can also send the player an in-game warning message. Off by default — it stays alert-only until you switch it on.
- VPN / proxy policy 💎 (SSA Bridge) — a separate rule with the same choices that applies to anyone connecting through a VPN or proxy, whatever their risk score.
- Every automatic warning, kick or ban also drops a short summary in your alert channel, so you always see what happened and why — even a VPN ban that scored below the alert level.
- If your subscription lapses, enrichment stops on new joins (manual refresh and
/whoissay Premium is needed), but everything already gathered stays visible — and the local notes + watchlist keep working regardless.
Enrichment is cached centrally by Steam ID / IP (24 h for Steam, 7 days for IP), and only public data is stored — never "banned on server X".
Bans#
- Ban writes the Steam ID to the server's
BannedUsers.ini(the game's source of truth) and keeps the name, a note and the timestamp in the manager, so your ban list stays readable months later. - SCUM reads the ban file at server startup — a ban or unban takes effect after the next restart. The UI reminds you of this.
- The raw user lists (bans, admins, whitelist, exclusive) are also editable directly in Game Settings → User lists; the admin list is kept in sync with the game's settings automatically.
Account linking (admin view)#
The Discord section lists every linked profile (Discord user ↔ SCUM character); you can unlink from there or from the player's profile. The linking itself is player-initiated — see Discord bot.
